Raheem Adebayo is a professor of English Education and Applied Linguistics in the Department of Arts Education, University of Ilorin. He holds a Ph.D. from University of Ibadan (1989). He was Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, (2012-2014) at University of Ilorin and Pioneer Vice-Chancellor, University of Offa (2021-2022). He was appointed full professor in 1998 and has taught full-time for 35 years and successfully supervised 33 Ph.D. theses. He is recipient of the IRA/ILA Elva Knight award for distinguished literacy research (1998).
