Dr. Aburime Ozohu Aminat is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Arts Education, Faculty of Education, University of Ilorin. She had her first degree in English Education, from University of Ilorin in 2002 and her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Comparative and International Education from the same university in 2007 and 2017 respectively. She started her teaching career long ago in 1996 as a teacher of English Language and Literature-in- English. She taught English and Literature-in-English in Roemichs International Schools, Ilorin between 2008-2011and became the HOD Languages and later moved to University of Ilorin as an Assistant Lecturer in 2021 and currently a Senior Lecturer and the Head of Department of Arts Education. She takes courses in Philosophy, History, Sociology and Comparative Education because of the nature of her field. As an educationist, she is a member of many international organisations such as the International Society of Comparative Education Science and Technology in USA, South Africa and Japan. She has over two decades of teaching experience at all levels of education, from primary to tertiary levels, making her a seasoned and accomplished educator since her induction into the teaching profession. Dr. Aburime Aminat speaks widely at conferences, seminars and events, both in the workplace and in the circular world.. She is a philanthropist and founder of the AMPEACE Foundation and Counselling Clinic, an NGO that pays attention to meeting the felt needs of selected categories of people, provides counselling for singles, married, youths, teenagers and children and support emotional rehabilitation of individuals.
